Projects
The Blog (JITB)
The Blog of Just In Theory is the principal forum for engagement and debate within JIT's community and its guests. Recurring contents include reading lists, open debates, and short articles.
The Podcast (JITP)
The weekly Podcast is Just In Theory's frontrunner project and the major outlet for its community's outreach to the larger public. Besides regular podcasting, the platform promotes broader engagement with blogs, articles, videos, and other content from all of JIT's projects.
The Channel (JITC)
Just In Theory's Video Broadcasting Channel publishes monthly videos on different multimedia platforms, in order to offer easily accessible, nuanced, and original takes on urgent and complicated matters, encompassing a variety of disciplines, advancing constructive debates, and proposing viable practical solutions to seemingly unapproachable problems.
The Journal (GPS)
Named after Hesse's famous novel, "GlassPerlenSpiel" is JIT's Academic and Professional Journal. It publishes transdisciplinary articles that bridge distant conceptual universes and ground them in the multifaceted complexity of pressing and emergent real-world problems.
The Lab (LTP)
JIT's Lab "Theorizing Practice" explores and articulates the methods, technologies, and strategies to translate theories into action. It is also a venue to assess and appreciate whether particular policies may produce collateral effects or durable and sustainable solutions.
The Workshop (WPT)
Following Gandhi's suggestion that "thoughts, however good in themselves, are like false pearls unless translated into action," JIT's Workshop "Practicing Theory" builds pathways and resources to foster advocacy and inform decision-making by drawing on the insights gathered in GPS academic articles and other publications.
The Mentorship Hub (GBA)
JIT's Mentorship Hub "Glass Beads Academy" is meant to facilitate and provide academic and professional advice to and among theorists, scholars, and practitioners who wish to develop a more nuanced sensibility for exploring, explaining, and exploiting the connections between the multifaceted realms of theory and practice. Counsel and confrontation can be arranged and fashioned, depending on members' availability and expertise, to specific or general purposes, as well as to different contexts and audiences, ranging from advice on scholarship applications, through policy development, up to fully structured courses.
